ACME Solar signs PPA with NTPC for 400 MW FDRE project
Oct 30,2026

ACME Solar Holdings (ACME Solar) through its subsidiary, ACME Marigold Urja Private , has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC for a 400 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project under NTPC's FDRE-01 tranche at a tariff of Rs 4.37 per unit.

The tariff for this project has been adopted by Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC). It would be connected to Raghanesda substation on the ISTS network, for which final grant of connectivity has been already secured. The Company has already secured a lease more than 800 acres of land for this project and is on track for scheduled commissioning as per PPA timelines.

This FDRE project will integrate renewable energy generation with appropriate energy storage solutions to deliver reliable and dispatchable power throughout the day, while meeting the offtakers' power requirements during peak demand hours. It would ensure a reliable supply of renewable power, with a minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 40% and an obligation to meet 90% of the peak power requirement for a cumulative duration of 4.5 hours daily across the morning and evening peak hours.

Following this PPA, the under construction PPA-locked contracted portfolio now stands at 4,710 MW out of total under construction contracted capacity of 5,380 MW.
