Coal India Ltd fell for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 393.35, down 2.29% on the day as on 13:19 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is down around 1.24% on the day, quoting at 22406.15. The Sensex is at 72534.84, down 0.98%.Coal India Ltd has eased around 6.79% in last one month.Meanwhile, Nifty Energy index of which Coal India Ltd is a constituent, has eased around 8.94% in last one month and is currently quoting at 35101.45, down 3.08% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 28.15 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 59.83 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark October futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 394, down 2% on the day. Coal India Ltd tumbled 0.18% in last one year as compared to a 13.14% slide in NIFTY and a 4.51% fall in the Nifty Energy index.

The PE of the stock is 13.11 based on TTM earnings ending June 26.
