BLS International tumbles amid buzz of visa fraud; Co denies claims

The probe, led by Judge María Tardón, was expanded to examine the role of companies handling visa appointments and document processing, including BLS, which is contracted by Spain’s Foreign Ministry, media reports said.

In a statement filed with the domestic bourses, BLS International categorically rejects any involvement in the alleged irregularities referred to in media reports.

'There is no evidence establishing any wrongdoing by BLS International or its employees in relation to the issuance of visas,' the company stated.

It further said that BLS International’s role is strictly administrative and is carried out in accordance with the requirements prescribed by the competent authorities. All decisions relating to the processing and issuance or refusal of visas rest solely with the relevant diplomatic and consular authorities.

BLS International Services is a global tech-enabled services partner for governments and citizens. It operates in the domain of visa, passport, consular, citizen, e-governance, attestation, biometric, e-visa, and retail services since 2005. The company works with over 46 client governments, including diplomatic missions, embassies, & consulates, and leverages technology and processes that ensure data security.

The company had reported 11.15% rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 190.07 crore on a 25.33% increase in revenue to Rs 890.53 crore in Q1 FY27 as compared with Q1 FY26.
