Sterlite Technologies jumps after subsidiary secures $1.2 billion supply agreement
Oct 01,2026
The total potential value of the agreement is estimated at around $1.2 billion based on prevailing selling prices of the connectivity products to be supplied, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Under the agreement, STL will supply optical connectivity products as per the customer’s specifications. The agreement provides for allocation of products to be supplied in each calendar year from 2026 to 2030, with purchase orders to be released periodically during the contract period.

The agreement is scheduled to run until December 2030. It also establishes a reciprocal risk-sharing framework with mutually capped financial liabilities for both parties in the event of demand or supply capacity shortfalls or failures.

Sterlite Technologies provides end-to-end connectivity solutions for AI-ready infrastructure, FTTx, rural, enterprise and data centre networks. Its customers include data centre and cloud companies, telecom operators, internet service providers and large enterprises.

At its 3 September investor meeting, the company unveiled its Lakshya growth roadmap. It targets revenue of Rs 20,000 crore by FY29, compared with Rs 4,745 crore in FY26. It also aims for an EBITDA margin of over 27%, against 13.2% in FY26. The company has an open order book of over $2 billion.

Sterlite Technologies said Q1 FY27 was its strongest quarter ever. Consolidated net profit surged 1,870% YoY to Rs 197 crore from Rs 10 crore, while revenue from operations rose 87.4% YoY to Rs 1,910 crore from Rs 1,019 crore.

Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund acquired 36.48 lakh shares, representing a 0.75% equity stake in Sterlite Technologies, through a bulk deal on 5 June 2026. The transaction was executed at a price of Rs 619.07 per share.
