ICICI Prudential Life Insurance changes its name to ICICI Life Insurance

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited has changed its name to ICICI Life Insurance Limited, effective September 22, 2026. Following the approval from Registrar of Companies (RoC) and the Central Processing Centre under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

The company stated that the RoC issued a fresh certificate of incorporation on September 22, and the name change came into effect thereafter.

This change was carried out following approval from the company's members; information regarding this approval was released on September 19.

Consequent to the name change, the name clause in the company's 'Memorandum of Association' and the relevant sections of the 'Articles of Association' have been amended.

The insurance company stated that it would inform the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) to obtain an amended certificate of registration in accordance with applicable 2024 regulations.

Furthermore, the company will fulfill procedural compliance requirements with stock exchanges, depositories, the registrar and share transfer agent, and other statutory and regulatory bodies.

Going forward, the company will operate under the name ICICI Life Insurance Limited; it was previously known as ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited.
