At closing bell, the Straits Times Index (STI) index was up 7.03 points, or 0.22%, to 3,186.61 after trading between 3,170.21 and 3,186.61. Volume of 1.16 billion shares worth S$899.22 million changed hands. There were 263 gainers and 264 decliners.
