At closing bell, the Straits Times Index (STI) index was up marginal 0.36 point, or 0.01%, to 3,186.97 after trading between 3,179.03 and 3,191.11. Volume of 1.16 billion shares worth S$1.0.3 billion changed hands. There were 269 gainers and 233 decliners.
The top STI constituent stock was Thai Beverage, which rose 3.6% to 57.5 cents, while Yangzijiang Shipbuilding was at the bottom of the performance chart after declining 2.3% to $1.27.
