Nifty Metal index ended down 1.56% at 5855.15 today. The index is up 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Adani Enterprises Ltd shed 6.00%, Ratnamani Metals & Tubes Ltd slipped 3.03% and Jindal Steel & Power Ltd fell 2.05%. The Nifty Metal index is up 13.00% over last one year compared to the 13.40% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index added 1.03% and Nifty Financial Services index is down 0.80% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.34% to close at 18285.4 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.34% to close at 61773.78 today.
