K&R Rail Engineering Ltd consolidated sales down 88.95% on year in Q2FY2026, net profit tanked by 97.03%

K&R Rail Engineering Ltd share price declined by 2.36% to Rs 16.97 after the company's net profit tumbled by 97.03% to Rs 0.55 crore, while revenue from operations nosedived 88.95% to Rs 1.69 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26.


The market capitalization of Civil Construction industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 9.42 lakh crore, plunging by 18.28%. It has slipped by 1.96% over last one week and slid back by 10.21% in last one month while the market capitalization of K&R Rail Engineering Ltd has softened by 4.12% and 35.99% in the same period respectively.


Profit before tax (PBT) of K&R Rail Engineering Ltd stood at Rs 0.55 crore in Q2 FY26, crashing by 163.95% year-on-year, and nosediving by 97.06% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 1 crore, tumbling by 138.36% YoY and tanking 97.13% sequentially.


Total expenses plunged by 93.33% to Rs 2.31 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, cost of materials consumed stood at Rs 1.23 crore, registering a fall of 93.20% YoY, while employee benefits expense was at Rs 0.4 crore, collapsing by 18.37% YoY.


For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations posted a slight growth of 5.13% to Rs 696.39 crore, while net profit witnessed a sharp fall of 20.31% to Rs 6.2 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA jumped by 788% to Rs 10.55 crore, and PBT collapsed by 22.39% to Rs 8.49 crore compared to previous TTM.


The company's consolidated net cash flow from operating activities stood at Rs 18.92 crore in FY26, as against Rs 5.59 crore in FY25.


K&R Rail Engineering Ltd crashed 56.74% in last one year, underperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has reduced by 11.34% during the same period.
