Gold tilts down as rate-hike concerns proper up
08-Sep-26   16:14 Hrs IST
Gold prices fell to nearly $4,400 an ounce in electronic trading on Tuesday, continuing a downward trend due to expectations of more interest-rate hikes by major central banks. Rising oil prices linked to new US-Iran tensions heightened inflation worries, impacting monetary policy outlook. Investors are looking forward to key US inflation data this week ahead of the Federal Reserve's policy meeting, with the ECB also anticipated to tighten policy. MCX October gold futures remained mostly stable at about Rs.1,52,790 per 10 grams.
