Gold Corrects On Firm Dollar, Crude Tumbles Nearly 3.50%

COMEX Gold futures saw thin moves today. The undertone was rather weak though as the US dollar firmed up and traders remained worries about near term Indian demand. COMEX Gold currently trades at $1898 per ounce, down 0.45% on the day. MCX Gold trades at Rs 50373 per 10 grams, down 0.33% on the day after testing a low under Rs 50300 per 10 grams mark. WTI Crude oil futures tumbled ahead of the US weekly oil inventories data. WTI Crude has slipped under the key $40 per barrel mark and currently trades at $39.62 per barrel, down 3.48% on the day. NCX Crude oil also lost 3.23% to trade at Rs 2907 per barrel. The US dollar index is at a one week high of 93.80 right now.
